Kumilio – Fig Retseli!<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Dried figs<\/strong> with walnut, <\/strong>dipped in fig syrup and accompanied by bay leaves. Their gentle sweetness creates a mysterious dessert, yet they pair excellently with meat, fish, cheese platters, and salads.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Kumilio – Fig Retseli It is a recipe with Asia Minor roots, adapted to the Kymi fig. No sugar added.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A few words about the company<\/p>\r\n

Kumilio’s<\/strong> purpose is to disseminate the Kimi fig, fresh and dried, a fruit with a strong presence in the history of Greek nutrition that combines sweet taste with rare nutritional value.<\/p>\r\n

The fruit collection begins in the first ten days of August and is completed at the beginning of September. On each visit to the fig grove, we select only the \u201cmustelia\u201d \u2013 the figs that are in an overripe state.<\/p>\r\n

They are then split open and placed on wooden racks for drying, where they remain for 2 to 4 days, exposed to the sun and dry air. After drying and sorting, figs of similar size are paired together to form the final product, known as \u201cKimi figs\u201d or \u201caskada.\u201d Once paired, the \u201caskades\u201d are placed back onto the racks and left in the sun for two more days. The process is completed with natural sterilization through boiling and final drying. No sulfur dioxide vapors are used during sterilization.<\/p>\r\n

In the vacuum packaging, the figs are accompanied by a bay leaf, used as an aromatic and natural preservative.<\/p>\r\n
