Panettone was born in the Italian North. Although its sweetness soon won over neighboring Switzerland, it remains a symbol of the city of Milan. Its classic shape resembles something between a dome and a tiara. An imposing dessert that stands on a cylindrical base and dominates the center of the table. However, we very often find it made on an octagonal base or in the shape of a star. It is now widely distributed in individual packages, adorning the tableware of every diner. It is an extremely fluffy dessert and full of the aromas of the Mediterranean garden, as it contains a fair amount of orange, citron and lemon zest. More information here.
