Packaging is not just something visual and SONNENTOR places great emphasis on this area. Especially in the food industry, the packaging covers the products and their valuable ingredients and protects them from damage during transport. However, growing waste from packaging is a huge problem for the planet. In 2008, SONNENTOR began the transition from conventional to sustainable materials. About 70% of SONNENTOR’s materials are made from renewable materials. These include sheets of wood fibers, tea bags made of banana fibers, the use of paper and cardboard. What cannot be composted – such as glass and metal – can be recycled.
