Adam Herbs – Sage is a plant that loves the sun and stony soils, thrives in Southern Greece (in the Peloponnese and the islands). In ancient times it was used as a multidrug. There are reports of its healing action from the great physicians of antiquity Hippocrates, Dioscorides and Galen.
As a drink it stimulates the memory. It has antiseptic action and helps treat pharyngitis and colds. In cooking it flavors meats, pasta, broths and sauces.
Pour a teaspoon of sage in 250 ml of water. Once it starts to boil, take it off the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Strain it and drink it hot or cold.
