Description
Early in the spring, the bee colonies are transported to various areas of Northern Greece, following the successive flowering to grow and reach satisfactory populations. Then in the mountains of Kastoria at an altitude of 650 meters the bees collect nectar from different species of wild flowers such as acacia, wild rose, linden, mountain tea, wild thyme and many more.
This journey continues by transporting the hives, which have stored this nectar, to the mountains of Halkidiki where at the end of the summer can harvest the honey of flowers & conifers. The nectar of the flowers contains pollen grains from many plants in various proportions, this rich bouquet of flowers gives a wonderful aroma to the honey. This combination of aroma and wonderful taste is complemented by the mild and neutral taste of coniferous trees in the honeycombs of bees.
