A few words about the company
The roots of the company CHALARIS date back to the sixties. It was then that Leonidas Chalaris began working in a small bakery-pastry shop in his neighborhood. His acquaintance with pastry making and his love for learning established him as one of the talents of the pastry art.
Around 1974, while on Tinos and having now become acquainted with the hidden and obvious paths of art, he had the idea of founding his own business. A small confectionery workshop in one of the neighborhoods of the island. His passion for art and the quality of the dishes he prepared immediately made him well-known in the small community in which he was active.
Over the years and as the business evolved, it moved into mass production and entered the wide trade of confectionery products. The production of traditional products began with the preparation of the well-known Tinian almond paste.
The company grew even more and built a privately owned space of 1,300 sq m, equipped with the most modern electromechanical equipment. The new laboratory was fully harmonized with the modern requirements of European standards (development and compliance with the requirements of the HACCP system). At the same time, the enrichment of the range of products produced by the company was achieved, with a multitude of traditional sweets from both Tinos and the other islands of the Cyclades.
