- Welcome Experience at Olicatessen (1 hour)
Your day begins at our store, where you will receive a complimentary limited-edition Olicatessen tote bag along with useful information for the day ahead.
During this introductory session, you will:
- Taste premium extra virgin olive oils from small Greek producers.
- Discover single-origin Greek honeys and learn about their unique origins.
- Learn how to properly evaluate olive oil and honey through a guided tasting experience.
- Explore the stories, traditions and regional heritage behind some of Greece’s most remarkable artisan products.
- Discover Thessaloniki Through Its Food (1 hour)
Get to know Thessaloniki through some of its most iconic culinary stops and discover the city’s food culture through the eyes of the people who live it every day.
- Producer Visits & Countryside Food Journey (6 hours)
We leave the city behind and head into the Greek countryside, where some of the country’s most passionate producers continue traditions passed down through generations.
Each itinerary is carefully adapted according to the season and may include experiences such as:
- Olive harvesting and visits to traditional olive mills.
- Cheese-making experiences, following the journey from milk to finished cheese.
- Beekeeping demonstrations and the opportunity to become a beekeeper for a day.
- Wine tastings at family-owned wineries.
- Visits to traditional halva workshops.
- Artisan sweet-making businesses and local delicacy producers.
- Seasonal experiences such as peach blossom season in Imathia or wild herb harvesting near Mount Olympus.
